Start at the Snug Cove
Ferry dock. The course follows Government Road then turns right and goes
along Union Road, across the Causeway at the Lagoon and up the trail and
along Melmore Road. From Melmore Road, the course crosses Miller Road into
Crippen Park, then goes along the Killarney Creek Trail. It follows the
Trail until the turnoff to the Meadows, where it tuns left and goes over
Terminal Creek (footbridge) and through the woods into the Meadows.
The course goes through
the Meadows and then through the woods and past the Fish Hatchery to Mount
Gardner Road. From there, the course turns right to go along Mount Gardner
Road until it reaches Magee Road (a gravel road). It goes a short way along
Magee Road then veers right onto the Killarney Creek Trail, and winds
through the woods, passing the turnoff into the Meadows and following the
outgoing route back across Miller Road, along Melmore Road, down the short
trail to the Finish on the Causeway at the Lagoon.
Course is the same
as the 5Km route until Magee Road. Where the 5Km course turns right
onto Magee Road, the 10Km course continues along Mount Gardner Road to
Woods Road, where there is a turnaround point.
Returning from the
turnaround, the course follows the outgoing route back along Mount
Gardner Road to Magee Road (a gravel road), where it turns left. It
goes a short way along Magee Road and then veers right onto the
Killarney Creek Trail and remains the same as the 5K course back to the
Finish on the Causeway at the Lagoon.
