Credits Run for the Ferry is a community event that demands a great deal of preparation and effort behind the scenes. This undertaking simply would not be possible without the help of many volunteers. If you would like to help with the Run, either before or on Race Day (you can volunteer to help with preparations and still run in the race and/or be in the Parade), please contact Fiona Beaty, at (604) 947 - 9626, ext. 1. There is a range of tasks for volunteers ... for instance: you could be a race marshal (standing/sitting along the route to direct runners and walkers), you could 'man' one of the water tables along the route or the refreshment tables at the finish, you could help prepare the race packages in the days prior to the event, you could be a 'rabbit' leading the runners on a bicycle, or you could help with pre-race registration and or the post-race ceremony. Registered volunteers will receive a race T-shirt and free refreshments after the race, and their names will be entered for a 'for volunteers only' draw prize.
